Below are reports from the different Sheriff zone's throughout the Santa Clarita Valley.
The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station divides its coverage into eight zones, seven of which are in the Santa Clarita Valley. (One is in Gorman).
The zones are listed in alphabetical order.
Deputies are once again asking owners of Toyotas and Hondas to be especially vigilant with vehicle security due to a rash of thefts.

Here's a summary of Canyon Country - East incidents:
In Zone 8, the following Part-1 crimes occurred:
1800 Block of Sundowner Way - Male White/57 pointed handgun at his wife when she attempted to keep him from driving while intoxicated. The suspect was arrested without incident. No one was hurt.
27000 Block of Iron Stone Drive – Suspect and victim got into a fist fight during a child custody exchange. Suspect was arrested without incident.
15000 Block of Lucille Court – Subject cut victim’s hand during an argument with a knife. Suspect is known but still outstanding.
17000 Soledad Canyon Road – Sianian Development Inc. - 2 Male Hispanic adults were arrested when they were caught exiting a business after breaking into it.
28000 Mount Stephen Avenue - Victim had jewelry stolen from her locked bedroom. The suspect is known to the victim.
28000 Block of Bockdale Avenue – Suspect entered victim’s vehicle and stole personal items. It was not determined how the suspect gained entry into the victim’s vehicle.
Sandy Drive X Anne’s Circle – Suspect stole the tailgate from the victim’s 2004 Ford F150.
27000 Farhen Court – Suspect is known to the victim. Jewelry was taken out of the victim’s car while suspect was at the location.
32000 Wagon Wheel Road – Suspect stole victim’s A/C unit which was sitting on the sidewalk at her home.
27000 Dove House Street – Suspect stole victim’s package from her front porch after FEDEX delivered it.
27000 Weyerhaeuser Way – Male Hispanic stole victim’s iPhone when she left it at a cash register after a transaction.
Grand Theft Auto:
18000 Block of Rock Rose Lane – Victim’s 2008 Jeep Patriot, which was reported stolen out of San Fernando, was recovered.

This past week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 crimes occurred:
(2) Residential Burglaries, (1) Commercial Burglary, (1) Vehicle Burglary, (1) Theft From an Unlocked Vehicle, (3) Petty Thefts, (3) Grand Thefts (7) GTA’s/(5) Recovered.
A residential burglary was reported near the 26700 block of Isabella Pkwy. An unknown suspect entered the victim’s garage and took a bicycle. There was no evidence of forced entry.
On Thursday Dec. 6th 2012, a commercial burglary occurred near the 26700 block of Isabella Pkwy. Unknown suspects broke into a storage garage and vandalized several golf carts. They also took several cans of spray paint and vandalized an apartment. The case is under investigation.
A vehicle burglary occurred near the 18000 block of Beneda Ln. The suspect shattered the rear driver side window of the vehicle and took personal items from a backpack located in rear passenger compartment.
There were several GTA’s last week. 1990’s model Hondas, Toyotas and Nissans are being targeted in the areas of Whispering Leaves Dr /Sierra Estates Dr and Rainbow Glen Dr/Flo Ln. For further, click here: https://local.nixle.com/alert/4921407/ 
Here's a summary of Castaic - Val Verde incidents:
There were nine Part-1 crimes in Castaic/Val Verde this past week. Castaic RV had four additional thefts reported from RV’s parked at their location. There were five reported petty thefts including two incidents where diesel gas was siphoned from trucks on Castaic Road. The three others included a canopy from Higher Vision Church, an i-phone from a student’s backpack at Castaic Middle School and three bottles of nail polish from a company in the industrial center (employee arrested).
Of Note: Six of the nine crimes reported during this period occurred between, 11-26-2012 and 12-03-2012. The four vehicle burglary reports from Castaic RV and two gas siphoning incidents of petty theft fall is this category. Since the arrest of two burglary suspects on 11-30-2012 by proactive patrol deputies, there has not been one reported vehicle burglary or similar petty theft. Santa Clarita Detectives are continuing their investigation looking for possible links and connections to crime in the area and these two men.
Here's a summary of Newhall incidents:
A number of arrests were made in Newhall during this past week, as deputies continue to be proactive in Zone 6. With rain in Santa Clarita, remember to use caution, exercise safe driving and avoid sudden stops or quick changes in direction.
This week Newhall had only five reported Part-1 crimes. Of those crimes, there was one burglary that occurred at Hart High School, one vehicle burglary, and three petty thefts.
One of the petty thefts was reported in the 22100 block of Placeritos Blvd in Newhall. During the late night hours on Sunday, 12/02/2012, the victim reported having two mechanical reindeers stolen from her front yard. The reindeers were part of the holiday decorations the victim used to decorate her house (ref -17128).
On Saturday, 12/08/2012, deputies from the Special Assignment Team (SAT) arrested Juan Navarro, a 24 year-old male from Newhall. They also arrested Jorge Navarro, a 33 year old male from Newhall. Both men were arrested in the 24100 block of Pine Street in Newhall at approximately 11:30 p.m. for violations of their parole. Jorge Navarro was additionally charged with possession of a control substance.
Here's a summary of Saugus incidents:
This week we, once again, stayed near the yearly average for Part-1 crimes in Saugus. We had two commercial burglaries this week. The first occurred at a bank along the 26500 block of Bouquet Canyon Rd. on Tuesday, 12/04/2012. The suspects entered the bank and attempted to pass a forged check. Deputies were called to the bank after the suspects had left the location. The suspects were located a short time later while driving back to their residence. The suspects were taken into custody without incident.
There was a second commercial burglary on Thursday, 12/06/2012, where unknownsuspect(s) entered a Laundromat, located along the 26800 block of Seco Canyon Rd., and attempted to break into the coin dispenser. The suspect(s) also damaged a washing machine. Suspect(s) ultimately stole detergent before leaving the location.
There was one vehicle stolen in Saugus over the past week near the corner of Rio Norte Dr/Adobe Ct. on Saturday, 12/08/2012. The vehicle was taken between the hours of 12:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m..
There was a grand theft from a local gym along the 26400 block of Golden Valley Rd. on Tuesday, 12/04/2012. The victim left his bag, containing multiple valuable items, unattended at the basketball courts for approximately 15 minutes. When he returned to retrieve his bag it was missing.
There was a petty theft from a residence in the 21600 block of Canyon Heights Cir. on Friday, 12/07/2012. An unknown person stole a Christmas decoration from the front door of the residence.
Here's a summary of Stevenson Ranch incidents:
There was one reported robbery, 2 residential burglaries, 7 vehicle burglaries, 3 larcenies and 1 shoplifting this past week.
A robbery occurred at a parking lot located in the 25000 of The Old Rd. The victim was approached by two males who offered to sell her a gold bar. The victim took out $800 from her wallet and offered it to the suspect. The suspect grabbed the money from her hands and fled the location.
A residential burglary occurred in the 25000 block of Silver Aspen Way. Two bicycles were stolen from the unlocked garage. A residential burglary occurred in the 25000 block of Stafford Canyon Rd. A bicycle was stolen from an open garage.
Five vehicle burglaries and one theft from unlocked vehicle occurred in the 25000 block of The Old Rd. Two vehicle burglaries occurred in the 24000 block of Constitution Ave. A Theft occurred from a business located in the 25000 block of The Old Rd. A shoplifting occurred from Wal-Mart and the suspect was arrested.
Here's a summary of Valencia incidents:
Zone 5-Valencia reported sixteen Part 1 Crimes during the past week. The criminal incidents included grand theft autos, theft from unlocked vehicles and numerous petty theft/shoplifting from local businesses.
There were five grand thefts of vehicles from various areas in Valencia. Two of the vehicles stolen were recovered in LAPD areas within two days of being reported stolen. Both vehicles were in good condition with nothing stolen from the vehicle. The third vehicle was recovered a day later with a suspect booked at the Santa Clarita Station. The two outstanding vehicles are a 1999 Honda Civic and a 1990 Toyota pickup truck. Both vehicles were stolen between 7:00 am- 4:00pm during the week while being parked in front of the victim’s residence/parking space.
There was only one report of theft from an unlocked vehicle this week. It occurred on the block of 26300 Emerald Dove Drive between the hours of 10:30pm- 6:30am. The victim parked his vehicle in the driveway of his residence and left his door’s unlocked. His wallet, along with cash and credit cards, were stolen from the center console of the vehicle. Remember to secure your vehicles by rolling up all windows and locking all doors. Do not leave valuables unattended or visible in your vehicles. Be cautious of your surroundings and if possible park in well-lit and highly visible areas. Please help us by reporting all suspicious activity and call the Sheriff’s Station at 661-255-1121.
There were eight arrests made by proactive Santa Clarita Deputies assigned to the Valencia area last week. The criminal charges included possession of controlled substances, driving under the influence of alcohol, petty theft, and shoplifting from local businesses.
