Shoppers got a surprise show at the Westfield Valencia Town Center on Saturday.

At the stroke of noon, the music started and a dozen dancers sporting fake mustaches converged on center court inside the mall near JC Penney. Their flashy, choreographed moves were set to the popular South Korean hit, “Gangnam Style,” a single that has gone viral on the Internet since its release in July 2012. Their mission: to raise awareness for men’s caner.

“One in two men will be affected by cancer in their lifetime,” said event organizer Robert Isquierdo.

November is men’s caner awareness month. Flash mob dancers wore mustaches to promote “Movember,” a movement started in Australia to raise awareness of men’s cancer, particularly prostate and testicular cancer.

Isquierdo, an English teacher at Sierra Vista Junior High School in Canyon Country, was joined by other Sierra Vista teachers, members of the Real Life Church and his 8-year-old niece, Miracole (pictured below).
