Don Fleming Renamed Co-chair Of SCVEDC [1]

The Santa Clarita Valley Economic Development Corporation has renamed Don Fleming as co-chair of its Organizational Development and Administration Committee. Fleming, who is the co-owner and general manager of Valencia Acura located on Creekside Road, said he was looking forward to continuing the group’s effort at growing commerce in the Santa Clarita Valley.

“The economic development corporation is a viable part of our community, and our whole purpose in life is recruiting new companies to this valley,” he said. “And with new companies come their employees, which means more home sales, which means more car sales, which means good for the entire valley.”

SCVEDC is a product of the combined efforts of local industry and government leaders. They work “to provide an integrated approach to attracting, retaining and expanding a diversity of business and industry in the Santa Clarita Valley,” as stated on the corporation’s website.

According to Fleming, SCVEDC has helped to bring or retain close to 2,000 jobs during his time with the organization.
