Cordell Broadus, the son of Snoop Dogg, is a wide receiver on the Diamond Bar High School football team. He is only a sophomore, but has a scholarship offer from UCLA. Coaches from the University of Oregon and Duke University have taken notice of Broadus.
Justin Combs, a red-shirt freshman defensive back at UCLA, is the son of Sean "Puff Paddy" Combs. Justin Combs didn't exactly receive a warm welcome when he arrived in Westwood. Because of his father's wealth and success, some contended that Justin Combs give up his scholarship.
Broadus might eventually end up at UCLA and be a teammate of Justin Combs. The Bruins could have two sons of hip-hop stars on the roster. But will Broadus receive the same kind of welcome as Combs? It seems being the son of a rapper has its advantages and its drawbacks, especially for a top football recruit.
