Make sure to practice your poker face for the upcoming Texas Hold’em Tournament being held Saturday, July 23 at 1:00 pm to benefit the Michael Hoefflin Foundation for Children’s Cancer.
The event is being put on by Scott Schauer, the former executive director and current member of the foundation’s advisory board, and is being held at Diamond Jim’s Casino at 118 20th Street West, Rosamond, CA.

$10,000 in total prizes will be available for participants at the event and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the foundation. The space, tables, dealers and buffet for the players are all being provided free of charge by Diamond Jim’s Casino.
Sponsors have donated $8,000 dollars to the event so far, meaning that almost all of the proceeds from the player’s entry fess will be going to support the fight against children’s cancer. The events three largest sponsors have been Cathy Nicolai and Scott Schauer, owner of the Santa Clarita Soccer Center, who donated $2,500 each, and Neal Weichel, with a $1,000 donation.
