On September 20, the Santa Clarita Valley Search and Rescue Team will host its fourth Annual Golf Tournament at Robinson Ranch Golf Club.
All are welcome join the tournament’s four-person scramble format. Golfers will be fed before, during and after playing the 18-hole course. Concluding the evening will be an awards ceremony, drawing and silent auction.

Headquartered at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station, the Search and Rescue Team is composed of Reserve Deputies and civilian volunteers. Ready to serve at a moment’s notice, they perform search and rescue tasks for LA County and other disaster agencies.
The Search and Rescue Team formed in 1957 after the rescue of a boy in Loop Canyon, near the foothills of Sylmar. Since then it has welcomed volunteers from all walk of life, from school teachers to film directors. Members may undergo a variety of training programs including a six-month course with Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Academy as well as Emergency Medical Technician, Mountain Rescue Association and Underground Rescue certification.
A nonprofit, the Search and Rescue Team has struggled due to budgetary constraints to purchase the specialized equipment and training they need to meet their quality service standards.
