Suspects are still at large from two armed robberies that occurred in Santa Clarita within the last 24 hours.
Last night, just before 11 p.m., an African-American man used a handgun to hold up the Donut Inn on Soledad Canyon Road near Bouquet Junction. According to Lt. Mark Hershey of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s station, the suspect escaped with an unknown amount of cash. No description of the suspect was available.
This morning, shortly before 10 a.m., an African-American teen used a handgun to hold up the Fast Stop Country Market on San Martinez Canyon Road in Val Verde, escaping with $250 in cash.

The suspect was described as being 17 or 18 years of age, 5 feet in height, weighing approximately 135 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt, a white T-shirt that he pulled over his face during the robbery and black Dickey brand pants. He used a black 9mm pistol.
