Good Morning KHTS listeners. Hello, my name is Reilly Charles and I am a 4th grader in Mrs. Malloy’s class at Bouquet Canyon Elementary School, in the Saugus Union School District.
I’ll be reviewing Little Women, written by Louisa May Alcott. It was written in 1886 and is 25 pages long.
Little Woman is a novel about four loving sisters, Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy, and how they lived their lives in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Their father served as a chaplain in the Civil War, while their mother stayed home and took care of them. They eventually got very close to their neighbors, and Amy even married a neighbor named Laurie, who first loved Jo. Sadly, Beth died from Yellow Fever, but was remembered with love. Meg married John Brooke and had kids named Daisy and Demi. Jo got married to Frederic Bhaer, and opened up a boy school. All the girls lived happily from then on.
I really liked Little Women because it was a nice blend of genres besides historical fiction. For example it was romantic yet action filled. Readers would enjoy this book because it has a great plot line and if filled with touching moments.
