Committee will ensure taxpayer funds are spent appropriately.
Just one week remains to apply for a seat on the Hart
District's Measure SA Oversight Committee.
The 7-member committee is charged with reviewing how the
Hart District uses all funds received from Measure SA, which was approved by
local voters in November.
Money from the $300 million dollar construction bond is not
legally allowed to be spent on anything other than specific projects that were
outlined on the ballot. These projects include modernizations of our older
schools and a new high school in Castaic.
The committee is open to local residents who meet a
criterion assuring their ability and stake in the community. The guidelines and

near the bottom of the page. Applications are also available at the District's
main office, located at 21515 Centre Pointe Parkway.
The deadline printed on the applications is 4 p.m. February
27, 2009, but the district recently extended the deadline by one
day to give prospective applicants the benefits of an extra weekend to complete
