Enjoy a plethora of holiday activities in one weekend.
The City of Santa Clarita will be celebrating the holidays with a Weekend of Wonderland Fun in Old Town Newhall on December 5th and 6th.
The weekend will include three family friendly events;
“Paint the Town,” on Friday, December 5, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
“The Holiday Parade” with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 6th.
“The Literacy and Arts Festival,” which will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 6.
Paint the Town is an opportunity to bring the whole family out to participate in the “Holiday Window Painting Contest,” where the front windows of Old Town Newhall businesses will transform into works of art.
Each of the storefronts participating in Paint the Town will be judged based on the following criteria: originality, creativity, and overall theme.
Judges will choose one winner for each category: Most Inspirational, Most Holiday Spirit, Most Original, Most Creative, Most Comical, Best Group, and Best Overall.
Awards will be announced at 10:30 am, on Saturday, December 6, at the Literacy and Arts Festival.
There are a limited number of window spaces available, so arrive early. Groups participating must have a minimum of six participants.
