Registration for Summer Internships for incoming 11th and 12th graders is now open!
The Hart School District Regional Occupation Program (ROP) Career Internship class has space available in the five-week Summer Session from June 18 - July 18.
Students will complete an unpaid workplace internship at a local company to learn about a career field and can earn school credits. The class coordinator will place students at internship sites or a student may select their own site, with approval, in the Santa Clarita Valley. Students work from 4 - 12 hours a week at the site and also attend class each week at the District Office. Currently, there are open internship spots in Accounting, Business, Interior Design, Marketing and Mechanical Engineering.
Selected students must have satisfactory grades, attendance and behavior and be 11th or 12th graders in the fall.
Students must provide their own transportation and be able to attend all class dates including the orientation. To enroll, please submit the ROP application and return it to the ROP advisor at your school by May 18. Space is limited. Additional course details, including class dates / times and the application form are attached.
