Temporary bridge mends gap along pivotal road in Santa Clarita
Los Angeles County officials have confirmed that the installation of a temporary bridge on Vasquez Canyon Road is complete as of Saturday, November 10th.
The original bridge that was a part of Vasquez Canyon road burned down during the Buckweed fire a few weeks ago, and the road had been closed since then.
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors promised quick action on the project, as it serves as a vital connecting road between Saugus and Canyon Country.
A temporary bridge was installed so that construction on a permanent replacement bridge could be done without fully closing the street.
Vasquez Canyon Road links Sierra Highway to Bouquet Canyon Road and runs at the north end of Santa Clarita.
