Santa Clarita’s accomplishments highlighted in annual luncheon.
This afternoon, hundreds of residents, business leaders and dignitaries filled out a ballroom in the Hyatt to look back on two decades of city hood.
In the annual State of the City luncheon, the City Council and chief staff guided attendees through a series of video presentations where each councilmember traveled to different parts of Santa Clarita and spoke about the City’s work in a number of areas. Each councilmember had their time, in instances like TimBen Boydston
covering the big work of the City’s Arts and Events office, and Laurene Weste discussing the advancements in open space, parkland and trail development.
The city of Santa Clarita was formed on December 13th, 1987.
But underneath all of the celebration of all who attended was an air of excitement about looking forward to the City’s future.
