$4 gets you to Santa Monica and back
The Santa Clarita Valley Summer Beach Bus service is starting early this year. Beginning Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, residents in the Santa Clarita Valley can ride the Summer Beach Bus to Santa Monica Beach during the summer months.
"It’s a great way for the family to spend the day at the beach,” said Supervisor Antonovich. The Summer Beach Bus service costs $4 per round-trip for children and adults. For senior citizens (age 60 and older) and people with disabilities, the service is $2.00 per round-trip. Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by a fare-paying parent or guardian.
Passengers can board the Summer Beach Bus on selected days at Val Verde Park on San Martinez Road at Parker Street, McBean Transfer Station located at the intersection of Valencia Boulevard and McBean Parkway, or Richard Rioux Memorial Park on Faulkner Drive in Stevenson Ranch. Starting May 15, 2007, through September 3, 2007, you may call toll free (888) 769-1122 or visit www.LAGoBus.info for information on specific dates, times, and fares.
The Santa Clarita Valley Summer Beach Bus service is sponsored by Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich and Santa Clarita City Mayor Marsha McLean.
