Help The Children Framing Hope Veteran Giveaway

Whether it’s providing food or responding to a natural disaster, the goal of Help the Children is to help make difference in the lives of needy children and their families, officials with the organization said.

That’s why they’re hosting a free event Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“What were trying to do is to provide some things from military families to say thank you for you service for protecting us where we feel safe at night. We know this country would not be the same without our military. We just wanted to say thank you,” said President Roger Presgrove.

“We are expecting about 200-300 people, and hopefully, it will be a wonderful event and everybody feels that it was worth coming down,” he said.

Help the Children in SCV is donating two large semi trucks full of Home Depot sheds, barbecues, tools, supplies and more, to veterans and active military members.

The event will also have barbecue lunches, a free bounce house for kids and live music.

Help The Children officials are honored to thank veterans for their service, and hope the public will spread the word to those who would like free home-improvement items.

This event is located at American Legion Post 507, 24527 Spruce St, Newhall, CA 91321
