Arif and Jeff wanted to begin their latest segment with a focus on debt. The Total Financial Solutions team guided their listeners through the topsy turvy world of utilizing, understanding, and spending debt in a smart and productive manner. Most people grasp how debt, and lots of debt, will affect them – however, that does not mean that debt is evil. In fact, Arif argues that debt is just a tool. Just like a hammer, or a gun, or a bar stool – a tool is useless unless someone is using it, and not knowing how to use the tool properly can severely injure you. They next tackled the aspect of buying large purchases, and the implications it creates in terms of financial paper trail, to the dings or rewards attached to one’s spending. For example, Arif and Jeff listed off a huge number of expenses that are perfectly legal to purchase, however, the credit card companies fight rigorously to ban their holders from purchasing. One of the most popular things people buy on the internet is porn. However, several credit card companies, including American Express for instance, have systems that will not prevent the money from finalizing that kind of transaction. They next brought Chuck Morris on to talk about the Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall. Total Financial Solutions proudly supports what Chuck Morris does for the Santa Clarita community and all over.
