The Senior Hour – March 13, 2013
Chuck Morris stopped by the Senior Hour to talk about the traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall, which will be coming to the Santa Clarita Valley September 25, it will be assembled the 26th and will be open for viewing the 26th to the 29th. It will be located at the corner of Magic Mountain Parkway and Citrus.
“To live in the city that we live in is absolutely wonderful. A city that strives to have a great community and the work this city does for veterans is unparalleled,” Chuck Morris said.
The wall is 80 percent the size of the one in Washington D.C. It is 360 feet long and all the names are etched onto the wall. Fun fact, the only day that names are added to the wall are on Memorial Day. The only names that are put on the wall are people that died in combat during the Vietnam War. There are 58,238 names on the wall.
Arif Halaby from Total Financial Solutions also stopped by to talk to Barbara and Gene about senior’s finances. He talked about some of the issues that our country are going through right now financially.
