The Real Side with Joe Messina – May 1, 2013
Welcome to The Real Side, not the right side, not the wrong side, but The Real Side, right here on Santa Clarita’s Hometown Station, AM 1220 KHTS. I am your Host Joe Messina, thank you for tuning in and thank you for getting involved.
Guest Matt Crampton joins Joe to discuss the jobs situation in the US. According to Forbes, large employers upwards of 32% of all positions are now “part-time” or contract-based.
Matt Crampton is with the company Gigwalk. Gigwalk is a mobile work marketplace designed to help businesses mobilize people so they can get field work done. Since launching in May 2011, Gigwalk has become the leader in delivering a mobile workforce by connecting employers looking for part-time, temporary workers to thousands of qualified, smartphone enabled people who are eager to do field work and earn a second paycheck through Gigwalk’s mobile app.
Businesses have gotten over 190,000 Gigs done across all 50 states with the help of Gigwalk’s workforce, which consists of over 200,000 people who have done all kinds of work, from photography and data collection, to retail audits and mobile app testing.
The Gigwalk team is made up of 15 passionate and fearless people (and an equally passionate and fearless pup) based out of San Francisco, CA. Our SOMA offices are just a couple of blocks away from the 4th and King Caltrain station and walking distance to Muni and BART. You can find out more about GigWalk at www.gigwalk.com!
Make sure to tune into the Real Side every day from 2pm to 3pm on AM-1220 KHTS.
