Welcome to the Real side, thank you for joining me for another hour of sanity. I am your host Joe Messina.
Today is Faith Friday. This is where I talk to some one of faith and discuss where God is in the world and how their faith play a roll in their lives, and the lives of Americans.
This is the real side, not the right side, not the wrong side, but the real side. If you want to get involved, hop on the chat room, or you can Skype me if you want to drive the conversation in a specific direction.

Today being faith Friday, I look for some religious stories. I get a lot of e-mails about these shows, people need to hear all about the other faiths and how they work in our society.

We all remember the westboro Baptist church. These guys do not speak for me. They come off as Christians, but they are picketing at the seminaries of veterans. I want to read you a story from someone inside the church. She said that they pray for people to die. She described it as a controlling life of hatred. If you do not go to that church, you will go to hell, is what that church. This church has been described as a cult and hate group, I will talk about some of these points on the other side of the break.

I enjoy faith Fridays because I get to talk about things that people normally try to avoid.
So we are talking about the woman who left the westboro Baptist church. This church prays for people to die. I do not know any real Christians that constantly pray for people to die, because that is not what the Bible calls us to do. I have never had anyone come to me and say “we need to pray for this guy to be dead”, never. Again, it is not what we are called to do. We are called to bring people to the love of God, and it is just amazing that people read stuff like this and think that is what all Christians do.
