Welcome to another round of common sense right here on The Real Side.  Not the right side not the wrong side, it’s the Real Side and I am your host Joe Messina. 

I tell you there is a lot of noise in the news, the media keeps us going crazy over some many articles but I love this story that someone sent me.

“Sheriffs can inspect homes for gun storage under a new democratic bill.”  Although I don’t know what is so democratic about that. So is this the beginning of what is going to happen, is this a smell or hint of what is going on because this could be pretty darn scary if this is the way it’s going to go.

So not only is big brother watching but if the democrats in Washington state have their way, Sheriffs will have the power to inspect home to make sure people are storing their firearms properly.

As reported in the Washington Times the bill would allow Sheriffs to enter homes of gun owners, the bill that has been pushed by democrats allows police to search where and how assault weapons are stored as well as how safely they are stored.

Does he have to give you 24 hour notice? Wouldn’t that defeat the purpose?

If you give me 24 hours notice I will make sure that every gun is taken care of, I’m going to go lock them up. To me that doesn’t make any sense.   I am sure somewhere if we beat on this bill, they are not going to give you anytime to do this…
