Mind Your Own Business with Doug and Ed– Friday, June 28, 2013

Doug was all alone this show. He was pretty depressed his crew abandoned him this Friday, and then suddenly John Rogers jumped in the studio. Doug nearly cried himself from the abundance of male camaraderie, and was passionately filled to the brim with revitalizing radio energy resonating from the reunion of his former co-host. They next brought Martha to speak about the unique history of scv and specifically thomas mitchell’s ranch. See, everyone knows that Santa Clarita has a Cowboy Festival, but Martha decided to document the rich history of our community’s roots from 1860 until the present and published the writing – revealing how integral Western culture has influenced the shape and ideals of the SCV. In addition to the cowboy aspect of the Valley, Martha reveals a plethora of local secrets and tidbits. For example, Teddy Roosevelt even spent time here in Santa Clarita. They next brought Alan Ferdman on to talk about the progressive ideas and developments involved with the Valley of Santa Clarita. From Vista Canyon to the delays of creating it to what it will actually mean for the future of Canyon Country residents. With everything being planned for Vista Canyon (high scale restaurants, new schools, maybe even a new metro station) ultimately, the goal is to bring all the things that people go to the other side of the Valley for, onto both sides of the Valley. It will assist in the branding of Canyon Country, and just make everything better. Including Hospitals and Nonprofits and more. Lastly, they brought Ben Oakley on to talk about his work as a secret shopper for Restaurants in our local community.
