Today on Mind Your Own Business With Doug and Ed, the gang interviews Steve and Spencer Reckon, a father/son plumbing business. Their business, aptly called Reckon & Reckon, has actually survived and prospered through 100 years, that is to say – through four generations of handing the family business down to the next generation. This process of revitalizing their brand and evolving their work over time is what separates their plumbing techniques and processes from the countless other professionals in and around our community. They also share tips and tricks to avoid paying big bucks to a professional like them as well. Such as, remembering that actually visiting a professional before anything major happens, will save you the most money. Do not put off what you can do immediately, or else you can be really suffering, especially during the Holidays – that is when things get really backed up.
Sue Cowling shared some of her enrichment programs with Doug and Ed as well. She explains exactly how they get their homework done and better themselves. She even shares how her tutoring facility takes educational field trips that kids actually love. For example, they take trips to the California Science Center, the Long Beach Aquarium, instead of things like Magic Mountain – and the kids still have fun, and leave with a desire to learn and know more about the world around them.
