Life Leadership with Alex Urbina – July 8, 2013
On today’s show, Alex and Wendy talk about living life in service. Living a conscious life of serving others, and the distinction of being in service and doing service.
To me living life in service is living with a purpose and serving others, Alex said. Sharing my gift and making sure they know they are being given a gift.
I have come to a place in my life that I know I am complete, and the more I serve to others I overflow my cup and it feels great, Alex said.
I take time out of my life to serve to others and it might not even take a big project, Wendy said. Just by holding the door or just reaching out to other people and contributing to other people’s welfare is a way to serve people.
Being of service and doing a service are to different things.
An example is more youth in our world are not being taught how to come from service, how to help, how to be a part of the team, Alex said. Teen don’t like to take out the trash, but that is your/their contribution to the team/family and it is important for us to think about it.
Why is it that most people don’t think that their cup is not full enough to help others, Wendy said.
If you think your cup isn’t full or you don’t have enough, then you will never have enough, Alex said. But those that do have enough will experience a great life because they are sharing it.
