Hosts: Doug Sutton and John Rogers
The Gazette Radio Hour Airs every Friday from 1pm-2pm on your Hometown Station AM 1220 KHTS
Doug Sutton and John Rogers started the latest edition of the SCV Gazette and Free Classifieds Radio Hour with a sombering and unfortunately blue updates from the cohost himself, Doug. Doug, who has been running the Santa Clarita Valley Gazette and Free Classifieds for years, has been going through some tumultuous legal struggles tied within the politics of running a newspaper. Doug described his situation with the bare facts, essentially saying that in the process of achieving recognition as a 100% legitimate newspaper from the official overseers, the Signal caught news of his passion and strive. However, The Signal hired a top notch legal team and took Doug to court and sued him, preventing him from obtaining the title as a legitimate newspaper circulation – leaving The Signal to reign supreme as print king in the Santa Clarita Valley. While this blow to Doug’s career was a painful pill to swallow, he hasn’t let these circumstances bring him down. Thankfully, he has friends like John Rogers who also bring a pleasant breeze of optimism into his daily thought process. Doug informs us life will go on, and for the rest of the hour, brought on all kinds of guests with the 411 on everything happening in Santa Clarita. For example, he even brought on Tim Haddock and Hans, the football informants of the SCV. They dissected, analyzed, and reviewed the play by play of the local football games going on here in our valley, and even touched on baseball, covering all topics and aspects of the one and only LA Dodgers.
