Matt Robertson, calls in to share his new CD, The Voice…
Hailing from Alberta, Canada full time horse trainer and farrier, Matt Robertson, calls in to share the back stories of the original music and poetry featured on his new CD, The Voice. Matt tells us about growing up in Wyoming and finding his way to Alberta as well as the men and musicians who inspire him. Growing up listening to the music of Chris LeDoux and Ian Tyson surrounded by wide open spaces, horses, (and the men who work with them) – all these influences have shaped him and his music.
Tune into the podcast to hear Matt share about his musical heroes, how he got started, and what his dreams are. He tells us about his win of the Rising Star competition at the 2008 Kamloops Cowboy Festival held annually in Kamloops, British Columbia and his return to this year’s festival. Authentic and sincere, Matt’s experiences working closely with horses, rodeo, and living the ranch life prove that he is the “real deal.” Hear it reflected in his powerful poems and moving songs.
