Karena Lineback and Co-Host Crystal Lacy Edwards spoke about a recent study that came out. There was a recent study released that said a little extra weight could help you live longer.
The Study stated “People who are overweight by up to 30 or so pounds have a slightly lower risk of early death than those at a normal weight, the government analysis finds.”
Karena Lineback and Co-Host Crystal Lacy Edwards found a few holes in the study. They left out smokers who tend to be thinner which could mean thinner individuals are prone to diseases related to smoking. They also did not make a distinction between age, some older individuals are prone to weight loss which can be bad for the older individuals health. Another issue is they did not take into consideration if people are not overweight due to illness.

Karena Lineback and Co-Host Crystal Lacy Edwards urge individuals to not put a lot of “weight” in this study. The data collected was not done as thoroughly as it could have been. A healthy lifestyle is always the way to go. “Eat lettuce not butter,” says Karena Lineback. “Heart disease is the number one killer and being overweight is a direct cause of that.”
