Operation Military Pride Wants You
Saturday night candlelight vigil part of national observance.
An Armed Forces Day gathering honoring our deployed troops and those who gave their lives serving our country will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Veterans Historical Plaza in downtown Newhall.
Sponsored by Prayers Angels for the Military and Blue Star Mothers of the Canyons Chapter 82, the event is free to the public and will feature guest speakers, singers and a special prayer for our local heroes.
The event is part of Operation Military Pride, a national candlelight vigil. Glow sticks will be provided or participants can bring their own light.
