Dr. Gene Dorio hosted the latest edition of The Senior Hour without his trusted cohost and partner, Barbara Cochran. Barbara was feeling a little under the weather, so Dr. Dorio took the opportunity to invite Dr. Thomas Polucki onto the show for a double doctor perspective on caring for seniors. Dr. Dorio and Dr. Polucki have to distinctly different approaches to healthcare, medicine, and giving advice to their patients – however, in the end, both doctors aim for the complete recovery and betterment of their clients. Knowing that there are multiple ways to execute any one task, Dr. Dorio asked Dr. Polucki several questions ranging from alternative medicine techniques and practices, to myths and outright lies about mass produced health products. For example, Dr. Dorio jumped down the rabbit hole concerning why the Pharmaceutical industry pushes certain drugs, and Dr. Polucki explained his perspective on why. In the end, both doctors agree that the Capitalization of medicine, is the main reason why society more often than not, believes their health concerns can be solved by taking a pill. Next up, Dr. Dorio invited Pharmacist Moazzem H. Chowdhury into the studio to talk about the pharmaceutical industry on a local scale. Moazzem has spent many years serving the Santa Clarita Valley, and is a trusted local professional. Dr. Dorio couldn’t stop asking questions because his offices are famous for their local care.
