On today’s show Host Alex Urbina sits down and talks with Dominica about empowering young girls and boys through her blog and motivational speaking.
Dominica started Smart Girl World which is an inspirational website that was created for girls all around the world. Smart Girl World motivates you to be the best you can be and achieve any goal and/or dream you desire.
“At Smart Girl world we are teaching girls that you can achieve your dreams and you can attract whatever you want in life,” Dominica said.
At first I was terrified of speaking in front a mass group of people, however as soon as I got up there I knew it was what I am supposed to do.
What is the biggest issue facing girls you talk to, Alex said.
What comes up the most is a lack of self-love, Dominica said. Either they don’t look good enough or smart enough and build up a hatred of themselves.
One of my main goals is to remind these girls that each one of them is beautiful and to not compare themselves to others.
As parents we have to keep telling our daughters, mothers, sisters that they are worth something and do not bring them down but help bring them up, Alex said.
