Georgia Traveler Stops At Graybar Hotel A Few Pounds Lighter

khts_crimeA Georgia man is behind bars for transporting marijuana after a traffic stop yesterday.

According to Lt. Mark Hershey of the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s station, the man got the attention of deputies as he traveled through Castaic on the I-5 freeway.

When they stopped him, deputies noticed a strong smell of marijuana and asked the man to step out of the car so they could conduct a search, which yielded three pounds of marijuana and an unloaded handgun in a case.

Antwon Clince, 29, a male black, who lists his residence as Georgia, was booked for transportation of marijuana for sale, according to Hershey, who said that additional charges for the gun may be added because of the presence of the drugs.

Clince remains in custody at the Santa Clarita Valley Station, awaiting his arraignment.
