In soccer, the Santa Clarita Storm beat the Sonoma County Sol, 3-1, in a National Premier Soccer League game.

Stephen Martines, Tyler Coombes and Alex Harlley scored for the Storm.

Their next game is at Canyon High School on Saturday night against Real San Jose. Kickoff is set for 6.

In the NBA playoffs, the Lakers made it a little closer in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Oklahoma City Thunder, but still lost by two, 77-75.

The Lakers were up by seven points in the closing minutes of the game. But the Thunder rallied back, scoring the last nine points, and took a one-point lead with 18 seconds to play.

Steve Blake missed a wide-open 3-pointer that would have won the game for the Lakers. Kevin Durant scored a game-high 22 points for the Thunder.

Oklahoma City has a 2-0 lead in the series. Game 3 is on Friday at Staples Center.

In the NHL playoffs, the Kings are home for Game 3 of the Western Conference final. The Kings are up 2-0 on the Coyotes and are coming off a 4-0 shutout in Phoenix.

The Coyotes will be without Martin Hanzal, who was suspended for a game for a dangerous boarding penalty against Dustin Brown in Game 2.

The Kings are 10-1 in the playoffs and are two wins away from making their first appearance in the Stanley Cup Final since 1993.
