Vasquez Canyon Road Closed For Resurfacing

The entire length of Vasquez Canyon Road between Bouquet Canyon Road to Sierra Highway is closed for a resurfacing project that began Monday night, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works.

County road crews are resurfacing the road over a three-week period that started April 14. Most days, one of the two lanes is closed from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., but according to the LACOPW website, the whole road is affected and travelers should find alternate routes.

Plans called for the road to be closed entirely for two weekends during the three-week work period. Construction is scheduled to be completed by Monday.
