City Hall Reopened After Bomb Scare

Sheriff's Arson and Explosives investigators examined the unidentified package found behind a locked door at City Hall this morning and found it to be empty. All closures have been lifted and employees were allowed back into the building.
City Hall has reopened and the evacuation lifted after the Bomb Squad investigated the unidentified box and found it to be empty. Valencia Boulevard has now been reopened.
When City of Santa Clarita employees arrived to work between 6am-6:30am this Wednesday morning they discovered an unidentified box. The Sheriffs Department and Fire Department were called. According to Public Information Officer Gail Ortiz, erring on the side of caution, City Hall was evacuated and awaiting response from the Arson Squad.

Traffic on Valencia Boulevard is closed between Magic Mountain Parkway and Citrus Avenue.
