Saugus Sets Community Meetings To Discuss Funding Ideas
Officials from the Saugus Union School District will hold four community meetings over the next two weeks to discuss the impacts of state budget cuts on the K-6 district.
In recent weeks the district has issued pink-slip warning letters to teachers as a result of a projected revenue shortfall.

The four meetings are intended to disseminate information about the status of the district’s funding, cuts previously made, the status of the district’s budget and advocacy opportunities such as a parent-driven initiative to form a charitable foundation to raise money for the Saugus elementary schools.
The meetings are as follows:
Monday, March 5 – James Foster Elementary School
Wednesday, March 7 – Cedarcreek Elementary School
Monday, March 12 – Bridgeport Elementary School
Wednesday, March 14 – Tesoro del Valle Elementary School.
