Held at the Vegas Motel in Minot, N.D., the championship began in 2004 and benefits the Minot State University Alumni Association. It bills itself as the nation's largest charity poker tournament, and the biggest poker tournament outside of Las Vegas.
According to a report in the Minot Daily News, Keillor went to Minot last summer to help remodel flooded homes. Roughly 11,000 of the city's 36,000 residents were displaced when torrential rains overflowed the Souris River and caused record flooding.
