Fire fighters accessed the burn area primarily from State Route 138 and held the blaze to 1.5 acres of medium brush, said Inspector Quvondo Johnson of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Knockdown was declared at 12:25 p.m.
The fire was contained to state-owned land and did not burn Angeles National Forest property.
