Packaged Meals Subject To Class I Recall By Feds

Recall-SidebarThe US Department of Agriculture has issued a Class I recall on meals prepared for food service companies that may end up with consumers in hospitals or on airlines. The recall was issued because they were produced without being inspected. In addition, a second recall of convenience store sandwiches has been expanded because of possible listeria contamination.

READY TO EAT MEALS

Judy’s Catering, LLC., of Burbank, is recalling approximately 4,100 pounds of ready-to-eat meals because they were produced without the benefit of federal inspection, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The USDA considers this a Class I recall, with a high health risk.
