Crockett To Serve Time In Prison If Convicted
25-year-old Casey Crockett was arraigned on October 20 at the San Fernando Superior Court and charged with one count of lewd act upon a child. Two allegations on the charge state the felony warrants sex offender registration and time served in state prison.
According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office the second stipulation was necessary to ensure Crockett, if convicted, would serve time in state prison and not in the county jail.
This specificity was in response to Governor Edmund G. Brown’s signing of Assembly Bill 109 and AB 117, which transfers some inmates from state prisons to county authority.
On Oct. 17, Crockett allegedly molested an 11-year-old boy in a public restroom stall at the Westfield Valencia Town Center.

On October 22, Crockett was taken to the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in downtown Los Angeles.
Crockett is next scheduled to appear in court on November 15 at which time a date for a preliminary hearing will be set.
