Giants Fan Attacked At Dodger Stadium Now Out Of The Hospital

khts_breakingnewsBryan Stow, the San Francisco Giants fan who was attacked at Dodger Stadium seven months ago, has been released from San Francisco General Hospital, and has been moved to a local rehabilitation facility, according to hospital officials.

"He's making dramatic progress," said Dr. Geoff Manley, the hospital's chief of neurosurgery, as he and doctors updated reporters on Stow's slowly improving condition during a news conference. "We look forward to seeing the recovery he makes over the next several years."

Stow, 42, a paramedic from Santa Cruz, attended the season opener between the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium on March 31. Wearing Giants gear, Stow and others in his party were attacked by a group of Dodgers fans. Stow was beaten unconscious and was in a medically induced coma for several months.

Stow's recovery at San Francisco General has been a "roller coaster," Manley said, but noted in the past month Stow has made significant progress.
