Undefeated West Ranch Football Team Travels To Play Unbeaten St. Francis

khts_sportsIt’s Friday night football in the Santa Clarita Valley.

West Ranch takes its undefeated record on the road to face an unbeaten St. Francis team coached by Hart High grad Jim Bonds.

West Ranch has won its first four games of the season and is coming off a 28-25 win over Silverado.

St. Francis is 3-0 and beat Venice, 27-17, last week. It should be a good one.

Canyon, the No. 2 ranked team in the CIF Southern Section Northern Division poll, will look to run its record to 4-0 against Beverly Hills at Canyon High.

Canyon clobbered Camarillo, 52-28, last week. Beverly Hills has won only one game this season.

Valencia takes on an undefeated Santa Monica team at home. The Vikings won their first game of the season last week against Palmdale.

Santa Monica is 3-0, but Valencia has won the previous two meeting between the two teams by combined score of 126-35.

In other games, Hart is at Birmingham, Saugus plays Taft from Woodland Hills at College of the Canyons and Golden Valley is on the road to play undefeated Sherman Oaks Notre Dame.

The Trinity Classical Academy football team travels to play Hillcrest Christian at Newbury Park today.

The Santa Clarita Christian football team takes on Desert Christian at College of the Canyons on Saturday night.

In college football, COC is on the road to play Grossmont College on Saturday afternoon.

In high school volleyball, the Trinity Classical Academy girls swept San Fernando Academy and stayed undefeated in Omega League play at 5-0.

Julia Howell led Trinity with eight kills.
