UPDATED: Power Outage Affects Santa Clarita's West Side

A power outage has affected areas of Santa Clarita, including Valencia and Stevenson Ranch.
According to Edison officials, approximately 2572 customers lost power at 5:14 pm. Edison switched some circuits, and restored power to all but about 1,071 customers in the area bordered by Avenida Dorena, Pico Canyon Road, McBean Parkway, and Faulkner.
Cause of the outage is still under investigation, but Edison believes the issue is underground, and they are currently looking for the cause.
