Top Plants For A Butterfly Garden

If you are looking to create a garden that will attract many colorful friends, it is all about picking the proper flowers. Choose from some of the following flowers in order to attract butterflies.Wings

Butterfly Weed

Is a type of milkweed that butterflies love to frequent. Monarch butterflies will drink the nectar from the vibrant orange flowers while the caterpillars will feast on the leaves.

Purple Coneflower

This plant is heat and drought tolerant while a wide range of butterflies come to sip its nectar. As a bonus this plant will bloom all summer long.

Lantana

Lantana blooms all summer long in shades of lavender, pink, red, orange, yellow, cream, and white.  The butterflies will flock to it if planted in the sun.

Pentas

Bearings cluster of star shaped blooms in bright shades of pink, red, and white. It holds up in the heat and drought well. Pentas is sure to attract butterflies and hummingbirds.
