Trash Hikes Minimal, City Rates Still A Bargain
With the 24th lowest single-family residential waste rates among 88 cities in Los Angeles County, the City of Santa Clarita in partnership with Waste Management will implement increased litter abatement services and a new diversion program to assist the community in meeting state mandated recycling requirements.
Multifamily complexes will have the option of using a 3-yard split container for both waste and recycling. The split containers allow complexes with limited space the ability to start a recycling program and encourage tenants to recycle.

Effective July 1, city residents will see a slight increase – 74 cents - in their monthly standard charge for waste collection services. Theses changes will automatically be reflected on next month’s waste and recycling bill.
