Final Transit Center Workshop Planned

The City of Santa Clarita is hosting its final community workshop on Thursday, June 23 to gather further feedback from residents and review the final preliminary concept of improvements to the McBean Regional Transit Center (MRTC) Park-and-Ride.

The free workshop is open to the public and will be held in the Century Room, Suite 150, at City Hall from 7 to 9 p.m.

To cope with Santa Clarita’s growing transit needs, the proposed park-and-ride facility expansion project will increase access to local and regional transit routes and address parking capacity issues at existing park-and-ride areas. Everyone is invited to attend to learn more about the proposed improvement that include increased access, additional parking and aesthetic enhancements.

The workshop will feature an open house session from 7-7:30 p.m., a PowerPoint presentation and responses to the questions and issues from the previously held community workshop from 7:30 – 8:30 p.m., followed by closing of the community workshop.

City representatives from transit, capitol improvements program, traffic, community preservation, and planning will be present to discuss the finalization of the project concept plan and address questions from community members.
