The single-vehicle accident occured just south of the Canyon Country campus of College of the Canyons and the live wires in the street caused all traffic lanes to be closed for several hours.

Students and staff needing access to COC were detoured via Sand Canyon Road or Vasquez Canyon. The driver was not injured in the crash.
