Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark!
The biggest single impact you can make in your room is color! And the most dramatic use of color is wall color. In today's article, I offer some dramatic colors to consider for your home.
HOT CHOCOLATE:
Chocolate is fine choice for wall color in specific applications such as a bedroom, office or living room. Chocolate brown adds warmth and richness to any space. Add a warm white crown molding to make the walls pop even more. This shade goes very well with lime green. Be sure to give the eye a rest in other parts of the room with some spots of white in accessories and fabrics.
ROYAL TREATMENT
Shades of purple will add glamour to your room. Think of a shade of eggplant on living room walls, balanced with white crown and base molding. Deep colors work best in rooms with plenty of natural sunlight throughout the day, and well designed lighting for evening hours.

GARNET RED
Deep shades of red work beautifully in a dining room. Why? Because red tones make us want to linger, and enjoy the meal. This encourages family and guests to stay at the table to enjoy conversation, rather than dashing off to wash dishes.
