Life In Color

crayonsLet’s face it after a long day at the office no parent wants to come home to a canvas of colorful stick figures and monsters.  No matter how adorable a child’s face may be, a dark crayon mark on a white wall can send anyone over the edge and running for a quick solution.

The first crayon mixture contained charcoal and wax.  Now, most crayons are made up of pigment and paraffin wax, so picking the right remover can seem more like a challenge.

One easy and inexpensive trick to remove crayon from your antique wood furniture, is to rub a little bit of mayonnaise on the affected area and wipe it with a damp cloth.  Who knew that getting rid of crayon could be as easy as looking in your refrigerator?

Getting the variety of crayon colors out of your white walls is a different story.  One quirky method can be found in your garage. Spray a generous amount of DW40 on the area, and wipe it clean, it’s as easy as that.  Another method would be to use baby wipes, so if you still have children in diapers you won’t have to use the wipes just for changing.

If you prefer a cleaning pad to other house hold items, then Mr. clean might be your man.

“The best thing to use would be the Mr. Clean pads” said John Smith owner of Santa Clarita Molly Maid.
