Be One With Mother Nature At Earth Arbor Day Celebration

handsholdingseedlingIt’s a day to get your hands dirty, to get in touch – literally- with Mother Earth and learn about reaching to the sky.

Kind of like trees do.

The City of Santa Clarita’s 22nd annual Arbor Day celebration and Earth Day Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Central Park on Bouquet Canyon Road and it’s free.

This day celebrating the Earth will have a variety of activities, entertainment, and other components to it. Several themed zones at the event will feature displays and hands-on activities, including eco, green car, water conservation, community, and children’s zones.

In addition, the newly-established Community Gardens at Central Park will host activities in the garden that include tree planting, garden tours, children's activities, and much more.  For more information email: communitygardensofsc@gmail.com.

Bring the family for an environmentally-aware and involved day and get a start on spring planting activities; talk with city landscape and arbor specialists and Earth-friendly companies to learn how you can be more ecologically sensitive.
