Armed Robbery At Newhall Car Lot

Two men held up a small used car lot in Newhall Thursday morning, getting away with $130 cash, some checks and a woman’s identification.

Around 11 a.m., the pair walked into Railway Motors, a private used car lot on Railroad Avenue in Newhall and held a couple working at the lot at gunpoint, demanding money. They took the female victim's purse and identification, $130 in cash and miscellaneous checks.

One suspect is described as a black, heavy-set man with a beard, armed with a blue-steel automatic pistol, possibly .45 caliber. The other suspect is described as a thin and bald black man.

They were last seen driving northbound on Railroad Avenue in a white or light silver newer model Oldsmobile or Buick vehicle with large wheels.
