According to wikipedia, a pysanka is a Ukrainian Easter egg, decorated using a wax-resist (batik) method. The word comes from the verb pysaty, “to write,” as the designs are not painted on, but written with beeswax. The word pysanka refers specifically to an egg decorated with traditional Ukrainian folk designs

Cost of the class is $40 plus a lab fee of $10 per person to cover the cost of dyes and a stylus, which students will get to keep. Enrollment must be completed no later than April 27.

Class will be held at 23201 Dalbey Drive in Valencia in Golden Oak Classroom #3.  You may enroll online at www.goldenoakadultschool.com, by mail or in person. For information, call the school at 661-253-0583.
